RippleImpact Partners with Epoch in WebAccelerator
Program
April 10, 2001, Redondo Beach, CA - RippleImpact,
a division of Philosopher's Stone Ventures, recently
entered into a partnership with Epoch Internet as
part of its WebAccelerator Program.
According the Epoch Internet, the program "provides
qualified companies with end-to-end e-business technology
infrastructure for six months, and helps accelerate
early stage development and has the goals of enabling
start-ups to prove their concept, raise capital and
get to market quickly."
"Partnering with Epoch will really add to what
we - as an incubator - offer our portfolio companies
and clients," noted S. Ramesh, President and
Chief Software Architect of RippleImpact. "We
can get our companies up and running strategically,
and then make sure that they have the infrastructure
resources they need to be viable in the marketplace."
The benefits of the program include hardware, software
and web hosting on Windows and Linux operating systems,
as well as connections into the funding community.
Epoch and IBM announced the WebAccelerator program
in April 2000 and selected the first round of qualifying
companies in May. To start in the program, each company
attends a two-day seminar that focuses on business
and technology education, as well as developing key
industry relationships with recognized legal, accounting
and technology firms. The program's business development
partners include Silicon Valley Bank, O'Melveny &
Meyers LLP, Deloitte & Touche and several venture
capital and business consulting firms.
