Manufacturers make it possible for much of the world's economic well being. The products are vital for the continuation of our economy. In a rapidly changing economy, the challenge for companies in this industry is to look at potential growth. RippleImpact works with companies to focus their goals and add value to their products.

Case Study 1:

Client:
The client is an aircraft manufacturing company who deals with the production and maintenance of the aircraft engines.
Challenge:

Deal with the production and maintenance of the aircraft engines and then sell them to the customers and the brokers and then after maintenance they need to get the approval of the Federal Aviation Authorities (FAA) to get the engines to go live. They were going manual and the communication between the engineers and the FAAs was tiresome and used to take a lot of time.
There has been a error prone production and delivery of the engines and also to track down the histories of the engines.
Solution:
We recommended a total package for the enterprise integration and web based interaction system in which the FAA and the engineers can share a lot of common histories of the engines to track their functionalities and how they are being maintained.
And it also helps them to grant the approval in no time rather than sending emails and then the certificates to be issued manually via mail.
Benefits:

  • Ease of communication between FAAs and the client's engineers.
  • Less time for the production and maintenance of the engines.
  • Less time for the maintained engines to come to live.
  • Delivery and inventory control becomes easier.
  • Tracking the error prone engines becomes effective.

Case Study 2:

Client:
The client is the customer and technical support team of the aircraft manufacturing company.
Challenge:
Fast response to the client calls and providing them the right solutions for both the customer service and the technical support group.
Solution:
We recommended total web based solution to record the calls and then attending them and tracking them through Internet and intranet system integrations.
Benefits:

  • Satisfied clients
  • Fast response error free system of the client and the support system of the company.

Case Study 3:

Client:
The client is a Fortune 500 company involved in the aircraft, power, health, and plastics industries.
Challenge:
Improve the the communication between different departments and the employees.
Solution:
We provide them with a project with the design of an intranet environment to encompass the organization to avail all employees' related and relevant information, such as calendar of events, in an efficient manner. The software system had three architectural layers - the client layer which was a web browser interface with Applets, the system administration layer with application and server communication and the database layer with JDBC.Results.
Benefits:
A complete ease and fast way of communication between all the sectors of the company and their employees.

Case Study 4:

Client:
The client is a start-up company manufacturing an internet appliance for home use. The company's existing architecture consisted of the actual appliance hardware and software, a web-based management and control front-end for the appliance and a back-end network filesystem maintaining all of the digital resources.
Challenge:
The client was looking to greatly expand distribution both in terms of number of users and the number of markets as an OEM implemented in several languages. The current web-based system was not scalable in either of these areas.
Solution:
We recommended a 3-tier approach to the management front-end for horizontal scalability and a better separation of business rules from user interface for language independence.
Benefits:

  • With the use of an application server middle-tier the web-based facility was scaled to several low-priced servers and increased both the reliability of the system and the number of simultaneous users that could be served.
  • With the use of Model-View-Controller design principles the interface was quickly and easily ported to other languages.
  • The entire front-end was rebuilt without any significant changes to either the appliance or the back-end database and filesystem.

Case Study 5:

Client:
The client manufactures chemical additives which are used in the manufacture of soaps, detergents, and cosmetics. They have a corporate office and 5 factories in different geographical locations.
Challenge:
All operations at each of the factories were done manually. This resulted in inconsistencies in the presentation of data, inaccuracies, and enormous time delay. The client had serious problems with duplication of work, oversupply of products that weren't selling along with a shortage of products that were in demand, and an inability to identify and broadcast in a timely manner, information about suppliers that provided sub standard raw products, and clients who did not pay on time.
Solution:
We recommended a complete ERP solution integrated into their accounting system;
Benefits:
1. Immediate real time information exchange on both inventory and the intended production avoiding the duplication of work and allowing a more rational planning of production.
2. Identification and broadcast of sub standard suppliers resulted in a lower cost of production, as fewer shipments failed to meet quality assurance tests.
3. Identification and broadcast of delinquent clients allowed better management of receivables and fewer write offs.
