RippleImpact represented in the Team Canada West
Trade Mission
November 29, 2001, Redondo Beach, CA - RippleImpact
was invited to participate in the Team Canada West
Trade Mission. The objectives of the mission are to
promote increased business relations, attract job-creating
direct investment, stimulate partnerships between
the two countries and develop further Canada's successful
relationship with the United States.
Prime Minister Jean Chretien announced that he would
be leading Team Canada West's Trade mission to Dallas,
Texas, and Los Angeles, California. "Based on
GDP, California and Texas rank among the world's top
ten economies," said Prime Minister Chrétien.
"By any standard, these states are economic powerhouses.
This first Team Canada West mission provides us with
an excellent opportunity to help increase trade and
create jobs in Canada while further strengthening
our partnership with the United States."
More than 140 organizations are participating in
the Team Canada Trade Mission. They are represented
by industries from the information technology, energy
and aerospace, building products, agriculture and
agri-food, biotechnology and culture and entertainment
areas.
S. Ramesh, President of RippleImpact, states, "As
a Canadian citizen who owns a business in the United
States, I look forward to being part of the organizations
participating in this mission, one that will promote
increased business relations and good will between
the two countries, and perhaps open up new avenues
of opportunity for us."
Jenny Sakhrani, the CFO of RippleImpact, and S. Ramesh
attended the event and mingled with prominent guests,
including Canada's Prime Minister, Jean Chretien.
He was accompanied by the premiers from the four Western
Provinces: British Columbia Premier Gordon Campbell,
Alberta Premier Ralph Klein, Saskatchewan Premier
Lorne Calvert and Manitoba Premier Gary Doer, as well
as the three Territorial leaders, Pat Duncan of Yukon,
Stephen Kakfwi of the Northwest Territories and Paul
Okalik of Nunavut. The principles of RippleImpact
also met well-known guests such as award winning David
Foster and singer, Paul Anka.
